The Gardens of the HippoDrohme is a new annual event dedicated to gardening, biodiversity and everyday ecology, inspired by the most beautiful plant festivals in Europe but adapted to the Brussels spirit.
A friendly meeting at the gates of the Soignes forest, aimed at all audiences, both amateurs and enthusiasts of gardening and nature between Uccle and Watermael-Boitsfort.

Plants, vegetable garden, balconies, terraces, biodiversity.
The event will highlight concrete solutions for gardening in the city, on balconies, terraces or small gardens, through a selection of specialised exhibitors and practical activities.
Quality & expertise
A demanding selection of exhibitors who are specialists in their field: nurserymen, producers, artisans, seed merchants, soil and permaculture experts. Each exhibitor will be chosen for the quality of their products, their expertise and their responsible approach.
Concrete ecology
Simple actions, practical solutions, transmission.
Raising public awareness of environmental issues through educational, fun and accessible actions.
Carried out in collaboration with local non-profit organisations, public actors related to the environment, and partner municipalities.
Friendliness & sharing
The Gardens of the HippoDrohme will primarily be a moment of sharing, discovery, and enjoyment for young and old alike. Activities over the weekend: guided nature walks, participatory apple pressing, practical workshops, children's activities...

For the first edition, the expected audience over the weekend is 5000 visitors.
We expect around 40 exhibitors and about ten non-profit organisations and public actors.
Over 1000m² of plant fair, relaxation areas, and food corner.
